  • You'll be employed by Nkonso Technologies Ltd.

About the role

Our bar is premium, richly animated and truly native, on phones and tablets, in light and dark. You'll shape flows and motion before they're built, and review the result across our products, so design quality never drifts and never rests on one person's eye.

What you'll do

  • Design flows, screens and motion for our iOS, Android and web apps
  • Prototype motion with purpose: transitions, springs, symbol effects and haptics
  • Design for phones and tablets, in light and dark, with Reduce Motion honoured
  • Look after our design systems, from tokens to components
  • Review built screens at phone and desktop widths, in light and dark, before they ship
  • Work with engineers daily, and with our Motion and Brand Designer on intros and store previews
  • Design with real content, including long Ghanaian names and the words people really use
  • Test designs with real people on real phones

What you'll bring

  • At least five years in product design, with native mobile apps you can show
  • A portfolio with motion design and detail that stands out
  • Fluency in Apple's and Google's design languages, including Liquid Glass and Material 3 Expressive
  • Experience building and running a design system
  • Accessibility as a habit, not an afterthought
  • Clear communication with engineers, and comfort with prototypes in code or motion tools
  • If you're a Ghanaian graduate: National Service completed, or exempt

Nice to have

  • Brand and illustration skills
  • Designing for low-end devices and slow networks
  • Social or messaging products

How you'll work

  • Hybrid. You'll be based at our office at 10A Mega Street, Adentan, Accra, mostly with one day a week from home, agreed for the role.
  • Hours. Standard office hours.
  • This is a permanent, full-time role.
  • Reporting. You'll report to the founder, and lead the work of our Motion and Brand Designer.
