  • You'll be employed by Nkonso Technologies Ltd.

About the role

Every screen we ship is checked on phones and tablets, in light and dark, with Reduce Motion on, and at every width from small phones to wide desktops. Across our native apps, front-desk kiosks that work offline, and the web, that can't rest on one person's eye. You'll build the automated suites and the set of real devices that make it routine, and lead our National Service testers.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain automated UI tests for iOS, Android and the web
  • Build and run our set of real test devices, including modest Android phones and iPads
  • Check screens on phone and tablet, in light and dark, with Reduce Motion, at widths from 320 to 1440 pixels
  • Test offline kiosk flows: the network dropping mid-check-in, and catching up afterwards
  • Run the regression pass before each release batch
  • Add accessibility checks to our suites
  • Lead and mentor our National Service QA testers
  • Write clear bug reports, and follow each one to the fix

What you'll bring

  • At least three years in quality assurance for mobile apps, web apps or both
  • UI test automation for iOS, Android and the web, using each platform's own tools or similar
  • Scripting or programming in at least one language
  • Accessibility testing with screen readers and larger text
  • A careful eye and clear writing
  • Patience and skill in teaching others to test well
  • If you're a Ghanaian graduate: National Service completed, or exempt

Nice to have

  • Testing offline and sync behaviour
  • Tests running in continuous integration
  • Testing with hardware such as card readers and printers

How you'll work

  • Hybrid. You'll be based at our office at 10A Mega Street, Adentan, Accra, mostly with one day a week from home, agreed for the role.
  • Hours. Standard office hours.
  • This is a permanent, full-time role.
  • Reporting. You'll report to the Head of Engineering, and lead our two National Service QA testers.
