How you'll work. In the office for every shift: harmful material is reviewed only in the office. Shifts include evenings, weekends and other hours.
- You'll be employed by Nkonso Technologies Ltd.
- Moderators join as permanent staff, never on fixed-term contracts.
- This role is safety-sensitive: an offer depends on a police clearance certificate.
About the role
AI does the first pass on reports, but people make the final enforcement decisions and take the hardest cases. AI is weakest on local language and context, so reviewers who read Ghanaian English and Pidgin well are at the heart of how we keep Agoo Reviews, Agoo Forms, Amee and Atumpan safe.
What you'll do
- Review reported content and accounts against our community standards
- Make clear, consistent decisions, and record the reasons
- Escalate urgent cases at once, including threats to life and risks to children
- Check AI's first-pass decisions, and flag where it gets things wrong
- Meet our response times on your shift
- Help improve our guidelines, training and evaluation cases
- Check reviews and business pages on Agoo Reviews for fakes and abuse
What you'll bring
- Fluent reading and writing in Ghanaian English and Pidgin, with a feel for local slang and context
- Sound, consistent judgement
- Able to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Comfort with computers and careful, accurate work
- Discretion with what you see
- Steadiness, and the willingness to use the support we provide
- If you're a Ghanaian graduate: National Service completed, or exempt
Nice to have
- Twi, Ga, Ewe, Hausa, Dagbani or another Ghanaian language
- Moderation, customer support, research or newsroom experience
- A good knowledge of Ghanaian online culture
How you'll work
- On site. You'll work from our office at 10A Mega Street, Adentan, Accra, every working day.
- Harmful material is reviewed only in the office.
- Hours. Shifts on a rota agreed in advance, which include evenings, weekends and other hours.
- This is a permanent, full-time role.
- Reporting. You'll report to the Head of Trust and Safety, and a senior moderator leads each shift.
- Openings. There are eight openings, all permanent and full-time: two now, for Agoo Reviews, and six before Amee opens.
- Police clearance. This role is safety-sensitive, so an offer depends on a police clearance certificate. We ask for it only at the offer stage, and only with your consent.
Looking after you. This work involves exposure to harmful material, and we take that seriously. We commit to limits on how much harmful material anyone reviews in a shift, to rotating people between harder and lighter work, and to access to confidential professional support for everyone on the team. National Service personnel and interns never see graphic or child-safety material.
